ThunderRidge High School Welcomes Madi Crook as New Co-Ed Cheer Coach
Highlands Ranch, CO — ThunderRidge High School Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Madi Crook as the new Head Coach of the Co-Ed Cheer Program.
Crook brings a dynamic combination of national-level cheer experience, event operations expertise, and a strong commitment to student development. Her background includes extensive work with the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA), where she served on both College Staff and the prestigious Core Staff team. In these roles, Crook led and instructed high school cheer camps across the country, working with programs ranging from single-school camps to large-scale events serving more than 500 athletes. She also served as a Head Instructor for multiple camps, where she oversaw staff leadership, built daily instructional plans, and collaborated directly with high school coaches to elevate their programs. This is after a tremendous career cheering for NCAA Division I University of Central Florida and competing for UCF in the UCA College Nationals placing in the top three every year.
Crook’s leadership with UCA extended beyond instruction. She was selected as a featured instructor for official UCA training materials and contributed to national staff development. She also supported operations for the UCA High School National Championship in Orlando, demonstrating her experience managing large, high-profile events. Additionally, Crook participated in community outreach efforts with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, reflecting her commitment to service through athletics.
Her coaching experience includes time as an Assistant Cheerleading Coach at Denver Christian, where she helped oversee practices, competition preparation, game-day operations, and parent communication while developing new performance material for the team.
Beyond the sidelines, Crook has demonstrated strong leadership and mentorship skills through her work as an Academic Advisor with the University of Central Florida Athletics Department and as a member of the Student Athlete Leadership Institute. In that role, she supported student-athletes’ academic progress and overall development, reinforcing her belief in the educational value of athletics.
“Madi brings an outstanding combination of high-level cheer experience, organizational leadership, and a genuine passion for developing student-athletes,” said Josh Stephenson, Athletic Director at ThunderRidge High School. “Her national background with UCA, along with her ability to teach, mentor, and build strong team culture, makes her an excellent fit to lead our Co-Ed Cheer program.”
Crook’s professional experience also includes roles in event coordination, product development, and organizational leadership, further strengthening her ability to manage the operational demands of a competitive high school program.
ThunderRidge High School is excited to welcome Coach Crook and looks forward to the continued growth, excellence, and tradition of the Grizzlies Co-Ed Cheer program under her leadership.
