Girls Finish 6th, Boys 8th: Ben Lee Finishes 8th
The meet kicked off with the boys’ race. Ben Lee took the podium, finishing 8th place and leading the team to a 10th place finish, just the second time ever that the Grizzly boys have finished inside the top-10 at the state meet. Ryder Jay was not far behind, finishing 18th. On the girls’ side, our pack was our strength. With just 44 seconds separating our first girl and our fifth girl, the team was able to grab a 6th place finish, matching the best finish ever by either a boys’ or girls’ team and only the third time ever that the girls’ team has finished inside the top-10. Jetta Betts led the way with a 23rd place finish while Raleigh Davis (26th), Quinn Stranahan (32nd), and Mary Seifert (43rd) also held on to finish inside the top-50.
